We are pleased to invite screenwriters and storytellers to submit a synopsis of their original feature-length film script for consideration in the prestigious XLCreativeHub Screenwriting Competition and Creator Residency.
If you have a powerful story and the vision to bring it to life on screen, this is your chance to be discovered, developed, and celebrated.
This highly competitive program offers a rare opportunity to turn your script into a Produced film while competing for a professional film writing contract, a chance to win a film production deal and shared royalties. From all submissions, the top 6 entries will be selected to participate in an exclusive creator residency, where finalists will receive mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on development support.
Only six finalists will be selected by a team made up of Screenwriters and Industry Specialists. These six will go into one week of Creator Residency where the team of Judges will mentor them. At the end of the Residency, each of the finalist will come up with a movie script from which a Movie Trailer will be produced. The general public will then be invited to preview the trailers and vote for their favourite script. The finalist with the highest votes will be declared the winner.
The whole event will be streamed on the Xlcreativehub YouTube channel.

20th March - 6 Finalists are selected and announced.
23rd to 28th March Screen Writing Residency in Abuja.
28th to 31st March Script Submission and Trailer Production
1st April to 6th April Voting for the Winner starts and ends.
7th April 2026 - Winner is announced!
